Development Committee

This committee works to keep member benefits, associate member benefits, and sponsorship packages up to date in a way that is consistent with changes in the insurance industry.  It plays a significant role in IBANY’s member recruitment and retention efforts.

Special Events Subcommittee

This committee plans the Association’s popular Spring and Fall Receptions, CEO Forums, Holiday Events and other special activities.  The Special Events Subcommittee reports to the Development Committee.

Individual Membership Subcommittee

This committee is developing membership options for individuals who are not employed by IBANY member organizations.  The Individual Membership Subcommittee reports to the Development Committee.

Government Affairs Committee

This committee monitors and evaluates legislative initiatives, regulatory actions, judicial developments and industry trends that can affect broker profitability in a competitive marketplace. It also is a think-tank for proposing legal changes that could make New York the commercial marketplace of choice for risk-based financial arrangements.

Associate Member Committee

This committee works closely with the IBANY Board to increase the number of Associate (Carrier) Members and build support  from organizations that are not commercial brokerage firms.  Its function is key to IBANY's success in finding resources to supplement membership revenues and support educational programs and special events.
