The IBANY Government Affairs Committee monitors and evaluates legislative initiatives, regulatory actions, judicial developments, and industry trends that affect brokers' profitability in a competitive marketplace. The Government Affairs Committee is a think-tank for proposed changes in law and rulings that could make New York the commercial marketplace of choice for risk-based financial arrangements.

Increasingly, the industries that comprise the financial services sector of the world economy are forcing regulatory change, at both state and federal levels. IBANY is every New York broker's advocate in this process; Government Affairs Committee members make time to protect and improve business conditions for all members.
