Annual Spring and Fall receptions

IBANY receptions are well-known and popular industry events that give the insurance community chances to strengthen their existing professional relationships and explore new business opportunities. They are held in downtown Manhattan, in April and October. Hundreds of insurance professionals from the metropolitan area attend the receptions, from marketing and claims officers, to managers and key underwriters, to principals and brokers.

GOLF OUTINGS

These events lure members and company executives to one of the many fine golf courses in the downstate area. Golfers enjoy challenging play, great food and prizes -- not to mention a full day of networking. Sponsors welcome the chance to highlight their commitment to, and support of, IBANY and its work.

CEO Forum Breakfast Series

Three or four times a year, IBANY broker members are invited to breakfast meetings to hear from the CEO of a major insurance carrier. The CEO Forums bring commercial market leaders together with their key producers -- top executives of IBANY member firms. With an audience of 25 to 35, CEO Forums provide an opportunity for the guest speaker and brokers to discuss strategy, marketplace issues, producer opportunities, product development and more. CEO Forum speakers have included:

• Mike LaRocco, President and CEO, Fireman's Fund Insurance Co.

EXECUTIVE ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS

This meeting format uses information and opinions from a panel of experts as the basis for lively discussion on a variety of timely topics.  One Executive Roundtable event, for example, was of particular value to insurance professionals who work with the construction industry.  The event, called "How to Unwrap Your Wrap-Up," featured a panel drawn from the insurance company, brokerage and legal consulting communities.
