IMG 3127For more than a century, IBANY has represented the interests of the New York Metro insurance marketplace.

IBANY was organized in 1898 and originally incorporated in 1930 as the Insurance Brokers' Association of New York. In 1951, its name was changed to Insurance Brokers' Association of the State of New York.

Overseen by a volunteer board of highly influential brokers, IBANY provides a platform for education, professional development and networking, serving all generations of the insurance industry, including top level executives, experienced professionals and emerging leaders.

Education

Our breakfast and lunch programs feature interaction with insurance company leaders and industry experts on a variety of timely topics, as well as CEU opportunities. Members have exclusive occasions to spend time in intimate settings with industry leaders for major insurance carriers at IBANY’s popular CEO Forums.

Professional Development

We work to enhance the next generation of industry professionals through our Emerging Leaders program, the Charlie McCrann Scholarship and our Education Awards.

Networking

IBANY provides two highly-attended industry receptions annually. The events allow for the cultivation of new and existing relationships and quality time with colleagues in an informal setting.

Law & Legislative Matters

We work to educate, inform and serve as a resource for members on legislative and regulatory matters affecting our industry.
